Derryck Fletcher '22 was named Chief Operating Officer of The Y in Central Maryland. Over the past year as Chief Strategy Officer, Derryck has led strategic planning, public advocacy, volunteerism, civic engagement, and diversity, equity, and inclusion work at The Y in Central Maryland. Queen Anne’s County Superintendent of Schools Dr. Patricia Saelens '19 (LM) was named by her peers as the 2023 Superintendent of the Year at the Public School Superintendents Association of Maryland banquet Nov. 3 in Ocean City. She will go on to represent Maryland in the National Superintendent of the Year program. Read more here. Erin Roth '19 (LM) was elected to the Cybersecurity Association of Maryland, Inc. (CAMI) Board of Directors. Her two-year term was voted on at a recent CAMI board meeting and will begin on January 1, 2023. As the President of MICUA, Power also serves as the managing director of the Independent College Fund of Maryland, a foundation that raises scholarship funds for students attending MICUA member institutions. Joan was recognized for her leadership in the profession of landscape architecture and her advocacy of the role of landscape architects within the transportation sector.
